THIS BLACK FRIDAY HAS SEEN THE FIRST-EVER DISCOUNT ON THE SONY PLAYSTATION 4 PRO, with the basic 1TB package discounted from $399.99 to $349.99. However, I’ve found an even better deal on a cooler version of the console:

The version above includes a white PS4 Pro 1TB system, white DS4 controller and the new Destiny 2 game, (normally $59.99 by itself) for the same price as the newly-discounted boring black version with no game included. This is personal preference, of course, but I think the white version of the system looks way cooler than the standard black one.
The PS4 Pro system is just like the PS4, and plays all the same games, but is capable of 4k output. Sony controversially decided to omit support for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Discs in the system (because they believe that 4k streaming is the future), but it can still play games and stream Netflix in 4k.
I personally don’t buy 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Discs, regular HD Blu-Rays or even DVDs, so this would work well for me. That being said,
I have a friend who does buy movies and TV shows in disc form, and was disappointed by the fact that the PS4 Pro wouldn’t support UHD Blu-Rays.
He bought the system, anyway, though, because he wanted to take full advantage of his new 4k TV and play games in 4k.
If you’re like me, and you:
- Have been waiting to buy a PS4 or are looking to upgrade your non-Pro version
- Don’t care about UHD Blu-Ray support, but want to play your games and stream in 4k
- Think the white version of the system looks really cool
- Wouldn’t mind getting a free game along with a great deal on the price
Then now is the time to pick up this system.
