I love banana bread, but every time I mention making some – which is more often than most people, I admit – my fiancé says, “Oh, yes, with chocolate chips! Mmm!” But there, we arrive at a crossroads. I’m actually not a fan of just adding chocolate chips. Somehow, it just doesn’t work for me. It’s not that I don’t like chocolate, because I love chocolate too. If anything, I like it more than Therese does, because the only real complaint I have about adding chocolate chips to banana...

 | PHOTO BY RZLBD, FLICKR | THIS PHOTO BY RZLBD, IS BEAUTIFUL IN ITS SIMPLICITY. I really like abstract photography, and this is a great example of one reason why: Abstract photography can elevate everyday surroundings through composition and timing, making something you’d normally just glance at worthy of hanging on your well. The colors are really vibrant and striking, and the compositional choices of how much sky and building to include in the frame really make this photo work....

Things are heating up in this Netflix series. Once again, the episode begins with running water, but this time it’s a far cry from Lewis washing his bloody hands and face in the sink. It’s Billy Russo beginning his daily hygiene routine. Russo uses sprays and creams to get his hair just so. He shines his shoes and gets his whole wardrobe exactly right. Full episode gallery Russo only gets creepier. Just wait until the end of the episode He walks through the halls of a medical facility...

This episode has a ton of action. And we see the way the Lewis storyline is going, and it’s pretty disturbing. Lewis is washing O’Connor’s blood off himself in a sink. He uses his very bloody hand to wipe his face and mouth. That’s super gross, Lewis. Come on. Of course, he did just murder someone, so I suppose a lack of hygiene is hardly his biggest problem. Still. Pretty disgusting. Full episode gallery Lewis is having a bad day, but O’Conner is dead so… his day is...

Important things happen, but overall this episode gives us a breather. I like a show that gives me a change of pace. When the real action starts up again, it’s much more meaningful. In a weird fever dream, Castle is being welcomed home by his family and David Lieberman’s family, but they’re all in David’s home. Frank is happy until someone comes to the door, and he finds himself zip-tied to a chair. Masked soldiers march in theatrically and execute both families as he screams. Full...

| PHOTO BY AURÉLIEN ANDRE, FLICKR | THIS PHOTO, BY AURÉLIEN ANDRE, IS MORE INTERESTING THAN YOUR AVERAGE NATURE PHOTO. The Praying Mantis is a really interesting looking insect, but I prefer to see it back-lit, like in this photo. I really like the muted color palette as well, with just a hint of blue and yellow visible to highlight all the black. Thanks, Aurélien ANDRE! Click here to see our other Photos of the...

| PHOTO BY ROB BLANKEN, FLICKR | THIS PHOTO BY ROB BLANKEN, IS A BEAUTIFULLY, NATURALLY MONOCHROME. My favorite part of this photo is the color. I absolutely love the clean tan sea of plants, and it’s a bonus that it perfectly matches the fur of the deer. The depth of this photo is great, and I love that the composition features the peeking head of the deer in the perfect spot. Thanks, Rob Blanken! Click here to see our other Photos of the...

I JUST GOT THE CHANCE TO TRY THE VERY EXCLUSIVE STARBUCKS JUNIPER LATTE and it’s definitely a trip. Also, check out that snazzy black and gold Starbucks Reserve cup, which all hot Starbucks Reserve coffee bar drinks come in. Starbucks’ description of the Juniper Latte: “The beverage starts with Starbucks Reserve® Christmas brewed as espresso and steamed milk infused with a syrup made with dried juniper berries, sage and mandarin. The beverage is finished with latte art and a...
